French Studio was launched in 2007 following the publication of “Emerging cities, twelve keys to understanding and acting”, an handbook to support bilateral discussion between Local and national leaders in charge of Urbanization and the French official representatives.
Translated in eight languages and disseminated in the main international conferences and meetings as UN World Urban Forum, World Bank Annual meeting, EU programs and within networks as World Urban Campaign, Cities Alliance and Africities Summit, that momentum was under the umbrella of the French administration and Francophone partners.
Until French Studio’s creation, Xavier Crepin and High level Experts have realized a number of Urban expertise & training missions, particularly in China, Vietnam, South Korea, Ethiopia, Syria, Algeria, Morocco.
As ISTED CEO, he and his colleagues were particularly involved in the Hanoï Metro Project (Line 3) during the early appraisal period (2000-05), for the implementation of the French Aid and financial grant (230 Million Euro) to the Hanoi Popular Committee.
Professor & Co-director of the Master “Engineering for Utilities Network in demerging countries at Rennes School of Economics (Sciences-Po), Xavier Crépin mobilized a large panel of high level experts to deliver a Professional program for future cities managers and engineers working all-around the world.
